Guided walking tour around Sighişoara
Route
Departure from the town’s new neighborhoods (Fire station/ Orthodox church) following the walking trail on the contour line, through the deciduous forest, viewpoint over Şăştine, followed by a ridge road. We arrive in Şapartoc, an almost abandoned village, with churches of 3 different religious confessions. Our walk continues through the village. After a hike, we keep the contour line, where in the shade in a stunning viewpoint we will be savouring our picnic (depending on the weather forecast, here is to observe the highest mountains of Romania, the Făgăraş Mountains). We continue the trail by following the contour line to the north, descending smoothly toward the valley. Also in our way, we visit the monastery of St. Dimitrie, Orthodox rite. We keep continuing northwards, arriving back into the urban area of Sighişoara.
